The MIXSYS EXTRACTAVATOR


As part of the EXTRACTAVATOR Bin Activation product line, MIXSYS offers its SANIVATOR-the leading innovative development in sanitary bin activation equipment. Featuring a Davit Swing System, this feature allows for quick and efficient access to the internals of the unit for ease of cleaning and ingredient change-over. Additionally, its patented isolation spring resists to the effects of wear over time, and the u-shaped flange offers a secure full-body seal.


The SANIVATOR also features internal vertical cone supports which allow for improved flow and performance, without the disruption or interference from cross supports as seen in other designs. Available in a variety of materials and finishes, with optional accessories including pneumatic accelerator, fish-tail slide system, poke hole access as well as isolation valves.

The MixSys Ploughshare 3D Mixer


MixSys offers the Ploughshare 3D Mixer, our most efficient mixer, which consists of a horizontal cylindrical container with multiple plough-shaped shovels mounted onto the main shaft. With 15-85% filling of the mixer volume, there can be multiple batch sizes and an increased flexibility, while only needing one machine.


MixSys also offers the popular Extract-A-Shaft, an enhanced mixer cleaning system. The Extract-A-Shaft offers quick, direct access to clean the inside of the mixer chamber and the mixer shaft. This allows for quick changeover and verifiable results for complete product and operator protection. Mixers are available in capacities ranging from lab scale to in excess of 300 cu. ft.

Bakery Pre-Mix Operation Project


Capacity Upgrade & Modernization


Accomplishments:

Designed and implemented all modifications to upgrade the operation. The MixSys High Efficiency Ploughshare 3D Mixer with Chopper System is utilized along with a spray nozzle manifold for enhanced process performance.


The product is mixed and discharged into a "Stirred Bunker" 4 Screw Mix Ribbon System, which provides continuous, homogeneous movement of the mixed product.


Project Highlights:

  • System includes: bulk ingredients receiver system, bulk bag unloading / mixer feed system, stirred bunker, high speed bulk bag filling system
  • Provides 3-5 minute 6000 lb. mix cycle times, improved from previous 15 min cycle
  • Continuous, homogenous movement during the Bulk Bag filling process
  • Increases the quality control, efficiency, and safety

Specialty Mixer / Reactor / Evaporator for Bakery Additives


MIXSYS through our adaptive approach to MIXINGPROCESSES successfully completes the testing, design, and manufacturing of an ADAPTIVEMIXER for the Specialty Chemical Preservatives for the Baking Industry. The following is the application data:


PROCESS: Mixing / Reaction / Evaporation Among: calcium hydroxide (powder) + Calcium oxide (powder) with propionic acid (liquid), for the production of calcium propionate.


BATCH TIME: 3 hours, with the appearance of the product in the intermediate phase like a pasta. Granulation during the evaporation process and reaction is avoided through 3 strategically placed and specially designed Choppers.


FINAL PRODUCT: 2500 Kg with bulk density 0,53 kg/liter.


INSIDE MIXING CHAMBER:


PRESSURE: Minimum vacuum – 1 bar , maximum 5 barg (6 bar abs) obtained from the processed products in reaction.


TEMPERATURE: Minimum ambient, maximum + 180°C obtained from the processed products in reaction, heated/cooled with oil inside the mixer Jacket.
Final product will be used as chemical preservative for the Baking Industry.
