Bulk Storage Solutions for Different Materials

Bulk storage looks different depending on what you're storing, how much you need to hold, and how the material needs to move through the process.

MIXSYS offers several bulk storage solutions designed around different materials and production requirements, including liquid tanks, silo systems, steel silos, fabric silos, and paneled silos.

Liquid Tanks

For liquids, fats, oils, and syrups, MIXSYS liquid tanks are constructed from stainless steel and designed as seamless, monolithic units. The tanks can include integrated weighing systems with load cells, a control unit, and probes for monitoring minimum and maximum loads.

Additional features can be added based on the product and process, including heat exchange jackets with insulation, internal temperature controls, scrapers, and agitators.

Silo Systems

MIXSYS silo systems are designed for storing premix raw materials while accounting for characteristics such as moisture content and particle size.

Loading options can include pressure pipes, elevators, and augers. Systems can also incorporate features such as ventilation, insulation, moisture control, temperature sensors, and level indicators.

Steel Silos

Steel silos provide another option for bulk storage, with construction styles suited to different applications.

MIXSYS offers bolted panel structures for indoor applications and welded monolithic structures for outdoor environments. The silos are made from stainless steel and can be configured around available space and storage requirements.

Fabric Silos

Fabric silos are designed for powdered products such as flours, sugars, and other raw materials, including plastics.

The modular structure can be installed indoors or outdoors, with storage capacities up to 125 cubic meters. The containers use Trevira® technical fabric with food-use suitability, high mechanical resistance, and antistatic properties.

Paneled Silos

For medium to large storage requirements, MIXSYS paneled silos offer a modular design that can be transported and assembled on site.

These systems can accommodate solids and liquids and have a stated load capacity of up to 10,000 tons. The silos can also be divided into multiple compartments for storing different materials.
